Biography:

Jim grew up in a small town in New Jersey spending his summers at the Shore surfing and hanging out with friends. Jim would also help his mother with her dressmaking business, which led him to enroll in the fashion course at Drexel University in Philadelphia, but his professor noticed his natural talent for photography, which lead Jim to quit Drexel and enroll at the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Once Jim picked up the camera he never put it down and after graduation his hatred of East Coast winters and love of surfing that took him to California where he got his break assisting for famed photographer Peggy Sirota. After 5 years assisting and much world travel he decided to go out on his own and has worked consistently ever since shooting advertising, editorial and music commissions for a wide range of clients. Jim is also an avid Bruce Springsteen fan proving that you can take the boy out of New Jersey but you can't take New Jersey out of the boy.
